Latest news of horses from the yards
Polia Latest
4th July 2008
She is due to come back in from the paddocks over the next week or so, back in training for our autumn campaign.
11th June 2008
She is looking fantastic in the paddocks taking her end of season rest. She will be back in the yard early July to get her race fit for October and her winter campaign. We are expecting big things over hurdles and ultimately chasing this season from this relative of the brilliant Impek.
21st April 2008
Disappointingly balloted out at Taunton last Friday and we are entered and will be declared for Worcester on Wednesday 23rd in a 3m handicap on softish ground that would be ideal however it is looking unlikely as there are 84 entries !!! We have today entered at Wetherby on Sunday 27th April in a maiden hurdle over 2m 7f, not ideal but we need to run as she has come to herself over the last 2/3 weeks and looked great on the Lambourn Gallops when working with Mistress Nell who is entered in a £25,000 race at Perth on Friday as well as a valuable race at Bangor on the same day. A good race from Nell would be a good guide to Polias wellbeing.
We will keep the entries coming until we get in one and should be on the track again within 7 - 10 days
1st April 2008
Following her third handicap qualifying run at Warwick in March she has progressed nicely and we are now looking forward to her handicap debut hopefully at Taunton on 18th April over a more suitable 3 miles. Under these conditions we will be able to evaluate her progress and ability in far more detail as we would be hoping for a more prominent run.
26th February 2008
Ran well enough at Fontwell in a very competitive hurdle with the front two well clear who are both Cheltenham bound. The ground was a bit on the fast side for us and the aim of the race was to boost her confidence following the fall at Towcester. Mission accomplished as she jumped well if a little big at times and came home sound after a credible run. Wil Kennedy rode and spoke well of her ability and feel as did Mark Bradburn after Towcester.
The race will also have brought her along again both in fitness and experience.
We will look for a mares only race next time probably in three weeks or so and that will then give us our handicap mark.
14th February 2008
Polia is absolutely fine in herself and has suffered no ill effect following her fall three from home at Towcester on 31st January 2008. She will be entered at Huntingdon on Thursday 21st February in a 2m 6f mares only hurdle race. This will be another valuable stepping stone towards her handicap mark and further experience.
We were all thrilled with her run at Towcester until the fall and Mark Bradburnes positive feedback on the feel she gave him excited us all.
Transinski Latest
4th July 2008
We have delayed our intended debut for the colt as we believe a further 3-4 weeks will have him spot on. Alan Jarvis very bullish about the prospects for this well bred, fantastic looking colt.
11th June 2008
The colt is working exceptionally well at home and looks fantastic. Alan Jarvis is currently looking for a suitable maiden over 7f to make his debut and we will be racing before the end of June. Keep watching out for the racing plans.
1st April 2008
We are delighted to announce the name of our 2yo colt as Transinski. We went to see him in action on the gallops during March and were pleased with his condition and progress. The morning on the gallops was followed by an excellent lunch with Alan and Ann Jarvis at the local pub where a good time was had by all. We are looking to begin our campaign with Transinski during mid May all being well.
1st December 2007
Alan Jarvis does particularly well with Trans Island progeny and again we are very excited about our 2 year old colt that will be aimed at races from April / May 2008 onwards.
He has a really good pedigree and I am told by Alan that he is coming on nicely, learning by the day.
More exciting days ahead with Alan and his wife Ann at Mill Race Stables in Buckinghamshire.
Kijivu Latest
4 July 08
A fantastic first run for us at Windsor on Monday evening where everyone had a great time. 6th of 14 having been upped in grade slamming the horse who beat us by 7 lengths at Lingfield in her previous run. We are looking very closely at making our hurdling debut on Sunday 13th July in a valuable Stratford event or at Newton Abbot the week after. We also intend landing a 1m 4f flat race handicap in August. Very exciting times ahead.
11th June 2008
She came out of her race at Lingfield where she finished 2nd to a useful type of Andrew Baldings and has settled well in her new Lambourn base of Alastair Lidderdales. We are currently looking for racing options and Lingfield on the 28th June over 1m 4f looks favourite at the moment and/or possibly Newbury on July 3rd again over 1m 4f.
Keep looking out for entries as we aim to go close next time out !
